Delta Center offers Skype and Elders love it Delta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Visalia has it's first Skype Elder. Laughter could be hear throughout the Center as the Elder could see and hear her loved one as they engaged in Skype. Skype is a video phone call through a computer that allows both parties to see and hear each other. Our visitor is quoted as saying, "Thank you so much for setting this computer visit. It was so great to see my aunt looking so good with her nicely polished nails and freshly cut hair. She seems so content there and has said as much. I have sent your user name to family in hopes that they will contact you to set up a time where her grand kids and nieces and nephews can talk with her and even her sister. Some still have to get with the Skype program but it sure is great for me! I can't travel yet but doctor thinks next week will be fine.............so this made up for missing a visit with my aunt. What a wonderful idea you have had! I hope you share this with lots of folks because it sure will be helpful to those who can't get out as much." Delta Nursing and Rehabilitation is excited to offer this new service to our Elders.
